your legacy will live on

· Jimbo Blogs

351 Days today since your permanent departure. 20,075 days since you first arrived on earth. You left too soon Jimbo.

A Life that was full of Life - this was Jimbo

A Life that conqured every obstacle and challenge with Grace and Humility - this was Jimbo

A Life that brought purpose to those that thought they could not live on - this was Jimbo

A Life that inspired and motivated the youths of our generation that anything and everything is possible - this was Jimbo

A Life that greeted and welcomed all and even the worst of our kind with open arms and a Big Bula Smile - this was Jimbo

A Life that would humourously erupt a room with laughter with his stories of travels and funny memories - this was Jimbo

A Life that would selflessly give his all to help anyone that requires it even without asking - this was Jimbo

A Life that saw everyone as his equal, no matter your sins, past and faults - this was Jimbo

A Life that deeply and wholeheartedly loved his family - this was Jimbo

A short glimpse of an incredible Life that lived among us not so long ago named Jim aka Jimbo, Timmy, Tim, Timoci, Timmy V - he certainly embraced many nicknames for many. My personal favourite was Daddio :)

My father was biasedly the best human I knew and I was immensely proud to call him my Father, Protector, Role Model, Motivator, number one Supporter and mostly my Major Sponsor haha.

Jimbo's Ice Cream business was my fathers childhood dream that would without a doubt always be brought up in any family discussions or at any moment in time he has a new concept idea that seemed better than the last idea shared only but a mere 2 days before. I admit, I personally was one of his many judges and critic about his dream and of which he would confidently respond that he will one day achieve it.

25th January 2020 Jimbo's Ice Cream Cart business was officially launched in Suva, Fiji. A dream was born.

Jimbo's is now nestled and operating from one of Fiji' popular picnic hotspots on Vitilevu in Pacific Harbour attracting daily commuters, neighbours and tourists to the colorful cart. The business is currently co-managed between my mother, brother and I, we remain positive and motivated to continue on a legacy that inspired a simple man, whom lived a simple and humble life to proving that no Dream is too big.

Jimbo's hope was to use his story to inspire his fellow countrymen and countrywomen to not let your circumstances and failures cloud you from acheiving your dreams, but rather, to stay committed, steadfast and block out those that do not support you and to keep taking those steps forward no matter how small they were. I personally learnt a great deal from my father and these very words have motivated and molded me to achieve my own dreams. A popular saying I remember him sharing with me and my brother was;

"With this one life we have to live on this earth, why limit my dreams to only trying to achieve one, when I can work on all of them - if I fail, I fail, but then i'll just try the next idea until I stopping failing"

Although you have gone too soon, your Legacy will live on through Jimbo's.

With all our Love,

#foryoujim
